Zenith Of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support is a leading girls and women’s rights organization that promotes gender equality, reaching the most vulnerable, and promoting meaningful inclusion.
ZEGCAWIS create awareness and sensitize communities on the Sexual and reproductive Health rights, prevention of sexual and all forms of gender-based violence information and response services.
COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Position: Communications Intern
Reports to: Communications and Partnership Coordinator
Location: This position is based in Maiduguri
Duration of assignment
Expected travel: N/A.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The Communications Intern will be responsible for assigned communications Roles including supporting the execution of the organisation’s communications Strategy, social media strategy, managing organisation’s prioritised social media Channels – including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and LinkedIn.
The person will liaise with the Communications Coordinator in providing support for the Different thematic functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support and participate in all inter-thematic policy advocacy and campaign initiatives
Work with the Communications Coordinator on all Zegcawis online activities
Work on seamless linkages of the organisation’s social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube LinkedIn and other social media platforms), ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements

Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge of social media and platforms
Good English communication skills, oral and written.
Excellent oral and written communication in English,
Ability to develop and manage professional relations, with outstanding interpersonal and coordination skills.
Proven planning and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
Education
Mass Communication or any relevant field.
