Job Title: Financial Control Analyst
Location: Nigeria
Job Schedule: Full-time
Job Purpose
The Financial Control Analyst is responsible for strengthening financial controls, optimizing processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant statutory laws and financial regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal control framework to safeguard financial assets.
Ensure company compliance with relevant statutory law and financial regulations eg, SOX, AML.
Conduct periodic internal control assessments and audits, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct the preparation and distribution of timely, monthly consolidated financial statements and reports.
Perform comprehensive analytical reviews of financial statements to gain insights into the financial performance of the business and identify key trends and indicators.
Be well versed in finance matters whilst handling inquiries, and developing action plans to address them.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data for reporting purposes.
Assess current financial processes to pinpoint areas for optimization and enhanced efficiency.
Special Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Internal control, process, and compliance in financial service, FMCG, or e-commerce.
Excellent knowledge of local GAAP rules, international accounting standards (IFRS, IAS), and regulations is required.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

Requirements Special Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any Commercial-related field. An MBA would be an added advantage.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Business consulting and strategy development, business analysis, or related fields within a fast-paced environment. Previous Startup experience is desired.
Proven success in developing and executing impactful commercial and business development strategies.
Proficiency in market research, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
