Job Objectives

Engage Group Executive and Group Heads to document the Division’s strategy document and decompose the strategy into critical quantitative operational metrics

Design and build business performance operational metrics and analytics leveraging intelligent analytics tools  to monitor strategy implementation for the Division covering technology, digital innovation, and banking services for Nigeria and African subsidiaries

Prepare and publish high-quality reports for the GE for CEO monthly briefing meetings and Board Committee meetings

Prepare and publish high-quality performance reports for the division’s monthly and quarterly performance meetings (MPR)

Design and implement a system for tracking and dashboarding the status of agreed priority initiatives across various units in the Division and working closely with GE and GHs to ensure the timely execution of strategy

Conduct both local and global research on banking and technology transformation trends and produce high-quality insights/recommendations

Serve as a single point of contact for Division-wide programs/initiatives e.g. CSR, Employee engagement programs, etc.

Take initiative to monitor trends and highlight useful trends that will require taking action by the Division to improve the performance, and customer engagement, and ultimately increase the profitability of the Bank.

Support Group Executive and take on specific responsibilities as may be assigned to GE from time to time.

Coordinate strategic activities for the Office of GE Technology, Digital Innovation & Services to strengthen relationships within the bank and with various stakeholders

Coordinate the efficiency efforts of the GE Technology, Digital Innovation & Services for maximum impact

Assist in preparing Board papers, speeches presentations, etc, on behalf of GE Technology, Digital Innovation & Services, and follow up on implementation of Board directives

Generate periodic reports for the attention of the GE Technology, Digital Innovation & Services

Collaborate with departments and teams on improvement initiatives

Coordinate Technology and operations support for African subsidiaries

Participate in strategic planning activities of the directorate and monitor implementation of strategic initiatives

Develop capex and opex budget for the office of GE Technology & Services

Coordinate annual budgeting process for the directorate

Monitor and analyze budget performance for the directorate

Follow up on action items/activities with relevant Technology & Services departments to ensure necessary action is taken

Build Interactive Power BI Dashboards

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

First Degree in any related discipline. Higher degrees and relevant professional certificates (added advantage).

Experience:

Minimum experience: 6 years relevant experience covering business planning and data analytics experience.

Use of SQL for scripting and data visualization and analytics e.g. PowerBI etc.

Responsibilities

Management and execution of the Sponsorship and Events Unit annual budget of over N1 billion, ensuring financial resources are aligned with organizational priorities and plans.

Planning and budget setting, working with the Holding Company and the Bank’s Business Groups to develop sponsorship plans and consolidate the Group’s requirements for sponsorships, events, and exhibitions.

Development of the overall strategy for sponsorship and events including delivering of events to approved budgets ensuring contractual commitments are delivered.

Negotiating new sponsorship contracts and sponsorship disposals to fulfill objectives, ensuring activities are measurable and are reviewed whilst exploiting all benefits to the agreed budget.

Organize bank-owned events and support the delivery (in a consistent manner) of all the Group’s activities, workshops, high-profile thought leadership national conferences, and events that align with the Group’s strategic objectives and also speak to the Unit’s brand pillars in engaging specific target audiences.

Assist in communicating the sponsorship strategy to management and managing communication of ongoing sponsorship and events monthly programs to key stakeholders. This includes managing a calendar for the intranet, updating Sharepoint, and communicating to staff on key benefits of partnerships. Fully exploit the sponsorship rights in marketing communications and with key customers.

Supervise and ensure that all sponsorship and event requirements are logged, followed through to completion, and updates/outcomes communicated to relevant parties.

Ensure the timely and efficieensureination and delivery of all events and ensure that the Bank’s standards and values are upheld at all outings.

Assist the Head, of M&CC in ensuring senior management and key stakeholders are positioned shoulder-to-shoulder with national and global decision-makers at high-level sponsored activities and events.

Implement metrics, measure, evaluate, and document all sponsored activities for sponsorship effectiveness to ensure maximum Return On Investment. Whilst ensuring the results impact on current processes and strategies related to sponsorship and events

Ensure database acquisitions at all events are captured as these become revenue leads to drive revenue opportunities through post-event follow-up.

Assist in providing reports from all sponsorships and events for inclusion in weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly presentations to the Head, M&CC, and subsequently to the Holding Company and Groups’ Management and Board highlighting Revenue, Brand Visibility, Database Acquisition, Media mentions, Speaking Opportunities and Hospitality engagements.

Manage sponsorship commitments and contractual timings to ensure payments are timely and the renewal process is managed effectively – where applicable

Manag,e, and support independent consultants, agencies, and volunteers conducting work under the auspices of selected events.

Manage day-to-day relationships with the sponsorship and events agencies and partners and liaise with vendors and direct marketing agencies to plan, organize, execute, monitor, and evaluate the impact of direct marketing on eBank’s events.

Supervises ensures the Bank’s brand/visibility during bank events is maintained to ensure consistency.

Assist in providing competitor positioning and reports related to tototooponsorship and vents.

Proposes identifies and supervises the distribution of appropriate promotional/gift items for goodwill suitable for the target audience at events and sponsored activities to enhance the Banks’ corporate image.

Supervises the project management deliverables on all sponsorship and events projects as handled by direct reports.

Qualifications
Education:

Minimum Education, ion: First Degree in HumA amenities, Social Science or Science discipline

A Master’s in Business Administration would be an added advantage

Professional Memberships: Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM); Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON); National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN); Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPof R).

Experience:

Minimum experience – 14 of years work experiewhichhiis is:

8 years of marketing experience

6 years of sponsorships and events experience.

With significant experience:

In negotiating and agency and supplier management

With budget management and people leadership

In managing properties and an understanding of the impact and limitations of sponsorships

Project management

Analytical reporting.
